These Terms of Service govern your use of PipeBandPredictor (the "app"), operated by Surface Development, an independent organisation based in the United Kingdom.
Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using the app, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, you should not use the app.
Use of the app
PipeBandPredictor is a free prediction game for Grade 1 pipe band championships. You agree to use the app only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not infringe the rights of others. Don't harass other users, exploit bugs to cheat the leaderboard, or attempt to access another user's account.
User accounts
Access to certain features requires signing in using a supported authentication provider. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for any activity under it. We may suspend or close accounts that violate these terms or that are used abusively.
Data collection & analytics
By using the app, you agree to the collection of anonymous usage analytics via Statsig. This data helps us understand how the app is used and improve its functionality. No personal information or specific prediction choices are tracked.
You can opt out of analytics at any time via the Analytics toggle in the app's Settings screen. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
Content
Information about pipe band contests and bands within the app is provided for entertainment. We do our best to keep results accurate, but we can't guarantee no errors. Official competition results are issued by the RSPBA and contest organisers.
Intellectual property
All intellectual property rights in the app, including content and software, belong to Surface Development or its licensors. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the app without permission.
Availability
We aim to keep the app available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Features may be added, changed, or removed at any time.
Limitation of liability
The app is provided "as is" without warranty. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Surface Development shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the app.
Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the app if these terms are violated.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the app constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
